This is the best thing ever.

Okay, so I really enjoyed this one but I feel compelled to mock you for the continuous take: Whedon did it to establish space within the ship. Tenth character and all that? But you Mr. Moore, are clearly showboating. So to speak.

Showboating? *blink blink* Why whatever do you mean?
Seriously, we just didn't have anything better to do that night.

By the way, there have been "oners" in Buffy as well (albeit less impressive ones). Oh, and nice work with the episode.

Joshtek-- I remember one in "The Body". Was there another?

The main one I was thinking about was in "Angel" - forget which ep, but it's the long tracking shot in season five that follows Angel around the entire Wolfram & Hart set, interacting with each of the other principal cast members along the way.

Scotto: Maybe you are thinking of the four and a half minute oner near the beginning of Conviction (Angel s5e1). It took 27 takes.

NOOOOOOOOOO! Connies dead!! why!? aww he was so funny!

Well, here's where I have to shamefacedly admit that I've only seen a few Angels after the first season. My geek squad broke up and it was just hard to take the time after that.
Though that sounds like the same sort of thing, of establishing a larger flow.
Not that any of that matters. Generally speaking this episode was one of my favorites and the long cut didn't bother me at all. I just felt the need to tease you for doing a long cut in a garage.
And, hey, if it saves time on editing and gets the shows out faster, I say do all of them in one cut.

"And, hey, if it saves time on editing and gets the shows out faster, I say do them all in one cut."
Um. As one of the actors and writers on the show I say "HAHAHAHA, OH, dear god don't make me go back to that garage again!"
Seriously though, while the one shotter was fun it also took a whole night of rehearsal and a level of focus that we actor types aren't known for.
The zombies were cool though.
